Therapy and Support Groups

Groups are currently enrollingn. Please reach out to XylemTherapy@gmail.com or any of the hosting therapists directly if you want to join in!

NEXT GEN VOICES

Emily Krolak, LSW, and JD Ferrell, LPC, are hosting an adolescent group to support the Next Generation during this difficult time we are living in together.

We understand youth may feel overwhelmed and powerless; they may feel their voices are not being heard or feel helpless without the resources or ability to impact their community. In Next Gen Voices, we will build communication skills, focus on empowerment, and provide an in-person space for ages 11-19 to process emotions away from their screens.

The group meets on Tuesday afternoons beginning January 20, 2026.

Insurance accepted (BCBS, Aetna, UHC, TriCare). Out of pocket cost is $40 per session. Sliding scale spots available.

BROTHERS IN POWER

JD Ferrell, LPC, CSAM of Xylem Psychotherapy is hosting a group to explore how being a Black man intersects with how we love, express anger, and navigate a wide range of emotions.

As Black men, we are not often given the tools to express emotions such as anger in a healthy way. Brothers In Power provides a supportive community to explore emotional expression, identity, and healing in connection with one another.

The group meets on Tuesday afternoons beginning January, 2026.

Insurance accepted (BCBS, Aetna, UHC, TriCare). Out of pocket cost is $50 per session. Sliding scale spots available.

SAFE SPACE FOR TWEENS

Emily Krolak, LSW, is offering a support group for tweens 9-12 years old to come together with like-minded peers, learn from one another’s stories, and build up their self-confidence and sense of community.

Through games, conversations, and creative activities, this group will equip tweens with a practical toolkit of CBT and DBT based coping skills, communication strategies, and avenues for self-expression. A Safe Space for Tweens aims to empower today’s youth, and provide an in-person space to process emotions and build a stronger sense of safety, belonging, and personal agency.

The group meets in-person on Saturdays at 3:45 beginning January, 2026.

$40 per session, $75 intake required. Sliding scale spots available.
